5 Days Gorilla Express


Day 1
Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by Africa Pride Guide who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. After a short transfer to your hotel you will be briefed about you safari. Depending on the time of arrival e.g if your flight arrives in the morning, you are advised to have money changed this day. To get to know Kampala, you can visit some of the landmarks in town with the help of our driver/guide. Overnight at Serena Hotel or Hotel Africana. BB

Day 2
Depart from Kampala early morning and proceed south-west with a stop over at the Equator for photos. The drive takes you through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredible long curving horns. Then you ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the "Switzerland of Africa", with terraced farming and mountain scenery to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or L. Kitandara Tented Camp. FB

Day 3
Go for gorilla tracking walking up steeply in the dense rain forest through different animals’ trails allowing access to tourists. Gorilla tracking is an inspiring and wonderful adventure which one can’t miss. The Gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact. Enjoy the Buhoma Village Walk organized by the local community. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or L. Kitandara Tented Camp. FB

Day 4
After an early morning breakfast drive back to Kampala with a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. Overnight at Serena Hotel, Hotel Africana. BB

Day 5
Transfer to airport depending on your flight time.

A note for Trekkers: Remember to bring heavy leather gloves, stout hiking boots, long sleeves shirts, long pants, a light back-pack, and water-bottle. In case you have more time you can combine this tour with 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park.
